Void Vator
Void Vator
Void Vator is a high energy rock band with a metal attack and a variety of musical influences that give the band its unique sound.Void Vator is the brainchild of guitarist/vocalist Lucas Kanopa who moved to Los Angeles from Uruguay in winter of 2013 with childhood friend drummer German Moura. The band was formed in the summer of 2015 when Lucas met guitarist Erik Kluiber. Wasting no time, Lucas, German, and Erik began writing songs and reached out to bassist Ian Shea. Ian was impressed with the initial demos and joined the band solidifying this rare 50% Uruguayan %50 USA lineup.

Void Vator spent the Summer of 2015 writing and recording demos while playing local shows in the Hollywood area attracting the attention of Grammy nominated engineer/producer Ulrich Wild. Ulrich's wide reaching discography includes some of the biggest names in the world of heavy metal. Ulrich was impressed with Void Vator both on and offstage, and offered the new band a recording deal with his WURM group label. In early 2016, Void Vator collaborated with Ulrich and recorded a 5 song EP at his studio in Silverlake, CA.

Set for a summer 2016 release, Void Vator's anticipated ep and live show has stirred up a buzz in the LA rock community. An official music video for "Time Has Come" is in the works to correspond with the impending EP release. Follow Void Vator online through Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and their official website at
Lorenzo Kemp and Marlon Matthew collaborated on original material and in 2011 released the EP "Mockery of the Fanatic". David Calhoun and Kevork Sheohmelian joined the band in late '11. Calhoun left in '13 and Luis Soraire joined in '14. The band is currently finishing all final touches for their debut full-length release!

"If you name your band after the imperative mood of the Spanish verb "Tremble" you better back it up with some appropriate music. Fortunately, these guys from San Diego, USA, proved themselves worthy of their name with their brand of aggressive thrash combined with grind, death and groove flavours."
- Mr. Doctor (

"...after prolonged listening blood starts to shoot out from my eyes and ears. And let me tell ya from experience blood is hard to clean up. TEMBLAD must know all about that since to practice intense music at this level of technical proficiency must leave their hands bloody."
Hailing out of Southern California, the origins of Malison are traced back to the days of a high school cover band looking to get together and play some tunes.

After years and years of playing together and putting on cover shows for friends and family, original material was starting to get written, and then the embryonic stage of musical development started to progress.

After Malison had found a guitarist with similar musical direction, the band started collaborating together on new musical ideas, inspired by the sounds of Iron Maiden, Dream Theater, Between the Buried and Me, Dragonforce, and Megadeth.

On January 17th, 2014, Malison was born.

Since then, Malison has played a handful of shows in the Southern California metal scene, and has even taken the prerogative to put on its own shows hosting San Diego talent to build the heavy metal community. Using the moniker "Malison Presents," Pop vs. Metal was an instant success, and now "Pop vs. Metal II: A New Challenger" will be underway!

Malison is hoping to reach the heavy metal community with a revival of clean vocals, complementing the classic sound and feel of the 1980s, with a contemporary edge for originality. The galloping bass lines, raspy vocals, and melodic harmony encompasses Malison's vision for a new, unique sound.

Currently, the band just self-released their first EP, "Impulses" on June 9th, 2015
and is currently waiting to take the stage at a venue near you!
