Dark Tranquillity
Dark Tranquillity
"Damage Done" is the much-anticipated sixth full length album from Gothenburg's own Dark tranquillity, a band that has become an institution within the realms of extreme Metal, seeing that they deserve full credit for originally kicking off the stylistic wave of melodic Death Metal which has become established and frenetically followed all throughout the world in the meantime.

During their 13 years of existence, Dark tranquillity have always tried to constantly expand their musical borders and stray away from already-conquered territory, and "Damage Done" is certainly no exception to their own artistic goal, being a truly diverse affair showcasing a host of new approaches and inspirational sources. Compared to the electronically-tinged approach of "Haven" (2000) or the laid-back, lush melancholia of the (Swedish) Grammy-nominated entity "Projector" (1999), "Damage Done" is more technical and intense in feel; a direct and solid sound, yet with lots of complex arrangements and sonic structures emerging from below the surface. While not by any means being a sheepish "back to the roots" album, some of the aggressive aesthetics present in Dark tranquillity's earlier work have resurfaced, giving birth to some faster passages, pounding and inherently catchy throughout. From the relentless thrash-o-rama of opener "Final Resistance" to the sombre closing tones of "Ex Nihilo" (the first instrumental in the band's history), "Damage Done" runs the full gamut and showcases a hungry and confident band that presents absolutely no signs of musical exhaustion or willingness to descend from their position as a leading creative force in the metal scene.

Recorded with long term producer Fredrik Nordström at Gothenburg's famous Studio Fredman facilities, the masterfully written and flawlessly executed eleven new creations on "Damage Done" are determined to fully please the passionate melodic Death Metal following as well as bringing new listeners into the very unique and charismatic sound of Dark tranquillity. Watch out for the band to embark on a massive string of tours following the release of this masterpiece of a new album: The damage is done, my friends!
Warbringer
Warbringer
Hardly satisfied with any of the new trends in the metal scene, we decided to take a step back and prove that old-school heavy metal is just as fucking heavy, loud, and shreds twice as hard as anything to date.
Formed in late 2004, we set out to show the local metal scene that Warbringer was a force to be reckoned with, playing no-holds barred rip-roaring thrash metal. After a 4-song demo and ton...s of shows with fellow ragers like Merciless Death, Fueled By Fire, Hirax, Dekapitator, and Toxic Holocaust, we released our "One by One the Wicked Fall" EP in October of 2006. Later that year we had the privilege of signing to one of the most respected heavy metal labels in the world, Century Media.
We recorded our debut album, "War Without End" in the fall of '07 with Mr. Bill Metoyer (Slayer, Fates Warning, Sacred Reich, Hallows Eve) and went on to appear on a few compilation albums such as Speed Kills...Again, Metal For the Masses 6 and Thrashing Like a Maniac comp with some of the best acts around.
We've been honing our live show into a violent thrash assault touring the US with Exodus, Goatwhore and Arsis in January/February; Nile, Suicide Silence, The Faceless and Unexpect in March/April; Europe with Napalm Death and Suffocation in May/June, a week of headline shows in the UK with Gama Bomb, and back to Europe in August with Sworn Enemy and All Shall Perish, which kicked off with our performance at Wacken Open Air, another US/Canadian tour with Finntroll and finally in Oct. supporting Overkill. What a year!
We'll take Nov. and Dec. off completing the writing of the second album and plan to record in January before we go back out on tour. So far we're booked from end of Jan - end of May in the US with back to back tours with Soilwork/Darkane and Kreator/Exodus with plans to spend most of the summer in Europe again.
Thanks to all of you for your continued support, you guys fucking rule!
THRASH OR BE THRASHED FUCKERS!
Helsott
Helsott
Formed in February 2010, Helsott is America's answer to the extremely popular Pagan Metal genre. Musically, Helsott incorporates many different styles and genres, always keeping a fresh and enjoyable listen that doesn't get stale. The diverse music is centered on the Pagan Themed lyrics which unite the album as a whole.

Helsott's popularity has been growing at an extremely rapid rate. After quickly becoming heroes in the Southern California region, promoters in San Diego, Los Angeles, and Orange County markets quickly took notice of the work ethic and draw of the band, and rewarded Helsott with their choice of touring acts to support.

These great opportunities were seized by the band sky-rocketing their popularity regionally, and placing the band on the radar of Rock the Nation USA, who offered the band a spot on the popular "Paganfest 2013" lineup which they were the only North American act on the entire North American tour in support of Ensiferum, Tyr, Heidevolk, and Trollfest. Knowing the value of this opportunity, Helsott seized the moment, and made sure to take advantage of the crowds they would be performing in front of. The EP, Folkvangr sold out of all copies very soon on tour, and merchandise sales were impressive every night of the tour, forcing early supply reorders.

The demand for a full-length Helsott album was great, so they developed a successful crowdfunding campaign via indiegog to fund the album. They were able to raise over $7000! With "Woven" now complete, Helsott is looking to cement their presence in the halls of metal, and looking to ally them-selves with a reputable record label to help attain the international recognition to help nurture the environment for a successful band.
DVT
DVT was originally started as a 3-piece band with Christian Sia, Richard Shoemaker, and James Munroe. The band has been through many internal conflicts resulting in line-up changes thus bringing in Joey Sia and Maui Olivares. After a series of shows with the 4-piece band DVT decided to bring back their original guitarist James Munroe now making the band a 5-piece. In April of 2012 Maui had to leave the band shortly due to personal reasons and we brought in good friend and vocalist DD to front-line the band. In June of 2012 DD had to move to Colorado, leaving the band, and Maui returned to the 5-piece punk band in June of 2012. During September the band was prepping to play the 3rd annual of Skalloween at The Vault. In an attempt to have a crossover of ska and punk; Jimi brought three more members into the band which were Kasey Cothran(Saxophone), Ryan Ruder(Trombone), and Jeremy Reichenbach(Trumpet) to play in the horn section of "DVSKA!" In the fall of November in 2012 Richard had to leave the band because of his career options. After Richard's departure, Shawn Stevens had taken his place in playing bass from January to May of 2013. Shawn left for various reasons and Nicolas MacDuffee of Xpulsion stepped in and played bass for DVT a little over a year from June 2013 to September 2014. Sabian Poggio of Feeble Fetus came to slap bass for a funky DVT from November 2014 to present. James Munroe had left the band in November of 2016 due to creative differences and soon Braxton Marcellous took the place of lead guitar during the same month.
